I am a Haitian-American, nonbinary visual artist and filmmaker from Miami, Florida, whose work seeks to radicalize narrative form and reimagine nonlinear time as a vehicle for expressing queer temporality. My practice is rooted in the belief that time and space, as dictated by Western and cis-heteronormative constructs, must be decolonized in order to truly liberate Black and queer identities. Through my work, I prioritize Black and queer stories as portals to cosmic, spiritual, and ancestral truths.
I create surrealist landscapes that escape, warp, and defy linearity, allowing for the emergence of realities where marginalized bodies are not only visible, but full of joy, contradiction, tenderness, and complexity. By embracing mediums such as animation, film, traditional art, and digital art, I explore the multifaceted expressions of the Black and queer soul. My work is a celebration and a confrontation, an invocation of worlds that exist beyond the constraints of the immediate physical realm.
